​GFWC Mountain Pine Woman’s Club of Parker is proud to sponsor annual scholarships to encourage local students to achieve their educational goals.  Scholarships helping high school seniors to achieve academic or vocational success have been awarded for the past 35 years, totaling well over $76,000. Awards are available to students pursuing 4-year and 2-year degrees as well as vocational training.

ELIGIBILITY 

Applicants should be graduating seniors with a minimum GPA of 2.5 from one of the following schools:

Chaparral High School, Legend High School, or Ponderosa High School in Parker, CO
Castle View, Douglas County High School, or D. C. Oakes High School in Castle Rock, CO

Elizabeth High School or Kiowa High School in Elbert County, CO

ITEMS REQUIRED TO BE SUBMITTED

Applications must include:

  1. A complete and signed application form
  2. A 500-word essay describing your education or vocational goals and how these relate to your career aspirations..
  3. A signed official high school transcript including class size and class standing or a GED certificate. The transcript must be sent by the applicant's school.
  4. Two letters of recommendation from counselors, employers or teachers.  The recommendation letter must be sent by the person writing the letter.

     All the above required documents must be received before the application will be processed.


ALL  APPLICATION ITEMS MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN MAR 15, 2024


SELECTION PROCESS 

The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic achievement, eligibility for college or vocational school admission, and career goals as described in the essay and recommendation letters.​  


​Scholarship winners will be notified no later than APRIL 19, 2024.
