The General Federation of Women's Clubs is proudly represented in thousands of communities around the world by dedicated volunteers working to better the lives of their neighbors, make towns safer and more beautiful.  They extend the hand of support and friendship to individuals and are in business, community leaders, and women of diverse interest, talents and backgrounds---all united by a dedication to community improvement through volunteer service.


GFWC was founded in 1890 and has some historic accomplishments:

-Founding more than 75% of the nation's libraries

-Developing Kindergarten programs in public schools

-Working for food and drug regulation

-Leading the drive for emergency relief support for efforts from WWI to 9-11and recent devastation in Haiti, Japan and the USA.
